Analytics & the funnel

Understand views, starts, completion and where people drop off — by page, by field, by device and by source.

Every form tracks an anonymous conversion funnel so you can see not just how many responses you got, but where people fall away. Open a form’s Analytics view for the full picture.

The core metrics

MetricWhat it means
ViewsHow many times the form was loaded.
StartsHow many visitors began filling it in.
CompletedHow many successfully submitted.
AbandonedStarted but never submitted (starts − completed).
Conversion rateCompleted ÷ views — your headline number.
Start rateStarts ÷ views — how compelling the first impression is.
Completion of startersCompleted ÷ starts — how well the form holds people once they begin.
Median time to completeThe typical time from first interaction to submit.

Where people drop off

  • Page reach — how far visitors get through a multi-page form, so you can spot the step that loses people.
  • Field drop-off — the questions people most often abandon on. A spike here usually means a question is too long, too personal, or unclear.
  • By device — completion broken down by desktop vs mobile.
  • By source — which campaigns and referrers drive the most (and the best-converting) responses.
Tip

High views but a low start rate? Tighten your intro or cover page. Good start rate but low completion of starters? Look at the field drop-off list and trim or reorder questions.

How the data is collected

Analytics are gathered anonymously as visitors interact with the form (page loads, first interaction, field focus, submit). No personally identifying profile is built — it’s about counts and timings, not tracking individuals. For how attribution data is captured, see Tracking & attribution.
