HigherStack Publishing your form
The difference between draft and live, and how to take a form live (or pause it).
Every form has a status:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Not accepting responses yet. The form opens to an “isn’t published” screen if visited. |
| Live | Published and accepting responses. |
Going live
- Build, design and test your form in Draft.
- Open the Publish area and review the status.
- Click Publish to switch the form to Live.
To pause a form, set it back to Draft — existing responses are kept, but new ones are turned away.
Tip
Need the form to stop on its own — after a date or a number of responses? Use access control instead of manually unpublishing.
